Real Name: Jeremy Shu-How Lin
Birthday: August 23, 1988

Until late last week, he was parked at the end of the Knicks bench and lived on the couch at his brother's apartment in Manhattan's Lower East Side.

He promptly went on a transcendent tear averaging 27 points and 9 assists over a six-game stretch and ended up on this week's cover of Sports Illustrated.

Repeat honorees also shone back, with the cast of Mad Men and Bryan Cranston both taking the stage for a third time. A fun musical number was given by Jimmy Fallon and the night had several laugh-out-loud moments including George Clooney's Modern Family video cameo was a fave.

Venus Raj's "Major Major", The Hottest 'Major' Trend Online and Offline
Yesterday, I woke up finding all those tweets that the Miss Universe pageant is commencing. I decided to browse online for some streaming sites that I would be able to watch the said pageant. I was looking forward to the question and answer portion, making this is the last hurdle to the beauties ambition for the crown. in Statement in Miss Universe 2010 Q&A Portion, Venus Raj answer of The Philippines' “major, major” answer during the interview portion in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant in Las Vegas is the fact that her top-five finish was the country’s first since 1999 when Miriam Quiambao placed second. To think that this young woman from Bato, Camarines Sur, was dethroned briefly, and the Philippines almost lost the chance to be represented by the determined candidate. Traditional beauty contest powerhouses Venezuela and USA were shut out as early as the semifinals for the first time in many years. Raj was also the only Asian candidate to make it to the top 15 this year.Present and occuring on Facebook and Twitter, comments and tweets by Filipino's stressed that Raj’s fourth runner-up showing was a welcome, if temporary, diversion from Monday’s grim hostage-taking incident in Manila and its aftermath. Malacañang said on a statement that Venus' success is a bright spot in an otherwise sad day for the country. For hundreds of Filipinos who came from all over the world to cheer the Bicolana bet, waving Philippine flags expressing support for her evoked priceless camaraderie and patriotism.
This time, Venus Raj gave the Philippines two major major reasons to smile about and be proud of. It all happened during the pageant's Top 5 Q & A portion.
Dr. Laura's N-word Rant, Inexcusable?
Excerpt from:
Sunday, August 22nd 2010, 4:00 AM
Errol Louis
is a columnist for the New York Daily News and is also on the editorial board, and also hosts a radio program.
Dr. Laura Schlesinger, spewing the N-word and berating a black woman who called to talk about her interracial marriage, joins comedian Michael Richards, broadcasters like Don Imus and the late Jimmy (the Greek) Snyder as nationally known figures who blurted out racially offensive words before a nation - and key corporate sponsors - who proved unwilling to dismiss the epithets as harmless joking.
Schlesinger's plea - that she should be able to use the N-word the way some black comedians do - is both tiresome and badly out of date.
What Schlesinger wasn't aware of was the Constitution, as evidenced by her statement on CNN that she will be ending her radio show in order to reclaim her First Amendment rights. Ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin echoed the sentiment, lamenting Schelsinger's supposed loss of rights.
